The National Community Development Week, which is April 6-11, 2015, provides an opportunity for the city of Shreveport, Department of Community Development to inform the public about projects and programs funded with Community Development Block Grant and HOME funds; meet with congressional leaders, and involve the citizens in the celebration. This will be the 41st Anniversary of the Community Development Block Grant Program.

Each year we celebrate CDBG week with a "Fun Day In The Park" activity. This year, we will hold our Fun Day activities at Bilberry Recreation Center, 1905 Alabama, on Thursday, April 9, 2015 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. We will have free food , music, health screening, games and various vendors.
