[ARCHIVED] Citizens are asked to report flood damage to Caddo OHSEP

Caddo Parish citizens who have businesses or homes damaged by the flood are being asked to report those damages this week to the Caddo Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness.

FEMA teams are expected in Caddo Parish next week and will use the information to tour the area and assess property damage.

Citizens can either e-mail their information to reportdamages@caddosheriff.org or call the Caddo OHSEP at 675-2260 to speak to a call taker. The phone line will be manned from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. After hours, callers can leave their information on voice mail and they will be re-contacted the following day.

Citizens should be prepared to provide the following:
Name
Address
Do you own or rent the impacted structure?
Do you have flood insurance?
Did you evacuate the structure?
Exterior pictures of the property damage

Sandbags are still available at Parish Public Works, 1701 Monty Street, and City Streets and Drainage, 3825 Mansfield, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. with assistance and 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. without assistance.

Law enforcement is reminding motorists that it is illegal to disregard a barricade that is being used to close a street for public safety reasons. Tickets will be issued to violators.
