Third Annual Shreveport Spirit of the Season to Kickoff Tuesday
It’s that time of the year again. The Third Annual Shreveport Spirit of the Season will be held at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 20 with the lighting of a 40-foot tree and holiday activities at Riverview Park, 601 Clyde Fant Parkway.
Mayor Tyler will flip the switch on the tree at 7 p.m. Fireworks will light the sky, snowflakes will glisten in the darkness, and live music from local artists, schools, and church choirs will fill the air.
“I’m excited about the lighting of our Christmas Tree in Riverview Park,” said Mayor Ollie Tyler. “This is a great way to get folks in the holiday spirits and celebrate the most wonderful time of the year when the community and families come together to unite in appreciation of one another.”
The tree and other holiday decorations along the riverfront will light the way for Santa every weekend leading up to Christmas. Festivities will be held along the Riverfront and in the Red River District with holiday movies, a laser light show, food, entertainment, craft vendors and more.
Admission is free. For complete event details, visit www.ShreveportSpiritoftheSeason.com.
